DNA Genotyping Research Program
Effective February 1, 2009, the Canadian Gelbvieh Association Board of Directors, in response to the rapid advancement in the science and technology of DNA genotyping, is moving forward with the switch from Micro Satellite DNA genotyping to the more versatile Single Nucleotide Polymorphs (SNP) DNA technology. The Canadian Gelbvieh Association Board of Directors understands that the best course of action is to establish a baseline from which future generations of Canadian Gelbvieh cattle can be measured.

Feeder Fax Line
The Canadian Gelbvieh Association’s Commercial Industry Development Committee (CIDC) developed the Feeder Fax Line Program to assist Commercial Cattle Producers to market their Gelbvieh influenced feeder cattle. The Feeder Fax Line Program can be utilized directly off the farm or through the auction market system.

Replacement Female Marketing Service
The Canadian Gelbvieh Association’s Commercial Industry Development Committee (CIDC) developed the Replacement Female Marketing Service to assist Commercial Cattle Producers to market or purchase Gelbvieh influenced replacement females. The Replacement Female Marketing Service can be utilized for marketing directly off the farm or through the auction market system.

All Inclusive Program
Formerly known as the Whole Herd Fee, the concept of the All Inclusive Program data reporting has been endorsed by the Beef Improvement Federation and the Canadian Gelbvieh Association.
