The 2011 Canadian Western Agribition Gelbvieh Grand Champion female is FLAD DJW Fine Wine 89W exhibited by Fladeland Livestock, Gladmar, Saskatchewan. Reserve Grand Champion female honours went to DVE Davidson Ms Jim 3S exhibited by Davidson Gelbvieh, Pontiex, Saskatchewan. Congratulations to Davidson Gelbvieh for exhibiting the Canadian Western Agribition Grand Champion Bull, DVE Davidson Jumpstart 44X. Reserve Grand Champion Bull honours go to Fladeland Livestock, exhibitors of FLAD Outlaw 6Y. Davidson Gelbvieh were the proud winners of Grand & Reserve Grand Canadian National Gelbvieh Champion Bull at Farmfair International in Edmonton, Alberta with DVE Davidson Hoss 1X and DVE Davidson Jumpstart 44X. Congratulations to Davidson Gelbvieh, from Ponteix, Saskatchewan exhibitors of the Canadian National Grand Champion Female at Farmfair International in Edmonton, Alberta, with DVE Davidson Ms Jim 3S with a heifer calf at side. Canadian National Reserve Grand Champion Gelbvieh Female honours go to Severtson Land & Cattle from Innisfail, Alberta with their entry of SLC Katherine 166M with a heifer calf at side.
Simpsons and Savage Inducted to Hall of Honour
Two long time Gelbvieh enthusiasts were inducted into the Canadian Gelbvieh Association Hall of Honour on November 24 at the National Gelbvieh Show held at Canadian Western Agribition in Regina, Saskatchewan. Garth and Marlette Simpson of Shaunovan, Saskatchewan, joined the Canadian Gelbvieh Association in 1981 under the name of Cypress View Gelbvieh.
