2010 Sire Summary now online The Canadian Gelbvieh Association produces a Sire Summary twice a year following the production of updated EPDs. The January 2010 version is now online, including Percentile Breakdowns, Trait Leaders, and Genetic Trends.

DNA Genotyping Research Program Effective February 1, 2009, the Canadian Gelbvieh Association Board of Directors, in response to the rapid advancement in the science and technology of DNA genotyping, is moving forward with the switch from Micro Satellite DNA genotyping to the more versatile Single Nucleotide Polymorphs (SNP) DNA technology. Association Launched New Website! After more than 35 years, the Gelbvieh breed in Canada is growing. In an effort to improve communications with its members, and livestock producers around the world, the Canadian Gelbvieh Association was pleased to introduce a more powerful marketing tool with the unveiling of its new website. With an interactive calendar of events, a searchable breeder directory, and a drive for regular updating, this new website has already proven to be a hit with breeders across the country.
